CM PS Tamang Congrats 3rd Battalion IRB for Dedication to People of Sikkim

 Gangtok:6th March : CM PS Tamang ,  attended  the 18th Raising Day celebration of the 3rd Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) at their Headquarters in Manglay. According  to him,  ‘The occasion marked an important milestone and reflected the Battalion’s unwavering dedication, discipline, and commitment to maintaining peace and law and order in our state’.

About the Pilic duties,CM said, ‘The primary responsibility of the police is to uphold law and order and safeguard society from elements that threaten peace and harmony. In fulfilling this duty, the Sikkim Police have consistently demonstrated commendable professionalism and dedication.’

‘The 3rd IRBn plays a vital role in supporting District Police by providing armed personnel for security duties. Their responsibilities extend beyond districts, as they remain prepared for deployment anywhere in Sikkim and even in other states during emergencies, elections, and other critical assignments’,added CM Tamang.

Addressing the gathering CM said, ‘ While compassion, inclusiveness, and forgiveness are important values, any elements that attempt to disrupt society must be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law to ensure peace and harmony prevail.’

CM also acknowledged the concerns raised and reiterated the government’s commitment to the welfare of the police force through timely promotions, improved facilities, and greater opportunities. And assured them of his full support.

Earlier,CM inaugurated the Teesta Command Block, the newly constructed administrative building in the vicinity.  ‘It is a significant addition to the Battalion’s infrastructure, further strengthening its administrative and operational capabilities,’ said CM.
