Gangtok,14th Jan : Film Director cum Producer,Kankana Chakraborty is all set to shoot a feature film in Gangtok.
Los Angeles based actress & director,Kankana ,really a down to earth filmmaker said here on Wednesday,speaking to this reporter, ‘ The Family I choose ‘ is about relationships- grief,redemption,bonding, -emotions.
About the actors,Konkana ,said ,; Aradhya Rai 13 years has been selected for the lead role and Adlien 7 years to act as her brother.Rest of the cast would be announced soon.’She has decided on all the locals to be a part.However Actor B Chandra and one more would be joining from
The Family I Choose is about a family of 86 years old man and a 13 years old girl. Director has decided to make the film in Gangtok.She said, ‘ Gangtok is not just a location its a character.I love Gangtok.Its like home to me.:
When asked if it was her First visit here Kankana said she had visited twice here in different moods and felt good here.Now she wants to give back to Gangtok,so here she is.! After scripting out the story she reached Gangtok on 31st December2025 to decide on locations.And now that only little bit of work is left for now she will be leaving soon.
However,300 Children aspiring to get role in the film appeared for auditions ,here.The shooting is scheduled for November and to be screened in 2027.
