Gangtok:24th Dec: BJP Gangtok District held a preparatory meeting / Workshop for upcoming events of Atal Smriti Varsh at City office, Gangtok. The meeting was chaired by programme Co-Convenor Smt Sangay Doma Bhutia, in presence of State Secretary Sangay Pulger, ST Morcha President Karma Sonam Bhutia, District Vice President Prahlad Agarwal alongside Mandal Presidents and party executives.
The meeting discussed various programmes assigned by the party head office to celebrate the centenary Birth Anniversary Celebration of Bharat Ratna Respected Vajpayee Ji in the district.
It is well known that Atal Bihari Vajpayee,born on 25th December 1924 lived a glorious life till 16th August 2018 .He was the then PM of India .Nation is all set to celebrate his 101 birth anniversary.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ in Lucknow on 25th Dec2025,in his honour.However,Bajpayee’s birth anniversary is annually observed as the Good Governance Day.
