Gangtok/New Delh:13th Dec:: The President of India has appointed Smt. Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai, Judge of the Sikkim High Court, to perform the duties of the office of Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Justice, the appointment has been made in exercise of powers conferred under Article 223 of the Constitution of India.
Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai will assume charge as Acting Chief Justice with effect from December 14, 2025, following the retirement of Justice Biswanath Somadder on the same date.
