Geyzing, West Sikkim – Dec 8, – A delegation from the Citizen Action Party (CAP) Sikkim today attended the monthly coordination meeting of political parties convened by the District Collector, Geyzing, at the District Administrative Centre (DAC).
The party was represented at the meeting by Phip Dhoj Limboo (ACEC President, 04 Yangthang Constituency) and Amith Limboo (General Secretary, Student Welfare Council).
The primary focus of the meeting was the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls. The CAP Sikkim representatives actively engaged in the dialogue, stressing the importance of transparency and accuracy in the electoral process.
Key points raised by the CAP delegation included:
* Verification: Ensuring strict verification of documents to prevent the inclusion of ineligible names in the voter list.
* Protection of Rights: Safeguarding the voting rights of genuine Sikkimese citizens by ensuring valid document holders are not omitted.
* Fair Process: Urging the administration to maintain neutrality and diligence throughout the revision period.
