Kaluk :8th Dec: The Rinchenpong Tourism Development Committee (RTDC) officially launched its Tourism Development Committee Website, marking a major step toward strengthening community-based and sustainable tourism in the Kaluk–Rinchenpong region of West Sikkim.
The newly launched platform serves as a comprehensive digital guide for tourists, offering verified information on homestays, hotels, resorts, places of interest, local activities, and a guide viewing system to assist visitors during their stay. The initiative aims to improve accessibility, enhance visitor experience, and ensure that tourism-generated benefits flow directly to the local community.
The website was formally launched in the presence of the MLA Shri Erung Tenzing Lepcha, who appreciated the forward-looking approach of RTDC in embracing digital initiatives for tourism development. During the launch, the MLA expressed his satisfaction with the quality of work and the involvement of local youth in the project.
The entire platform has been designed and developed by students of Medhavi Skills University, Bermiok Campus, namely Mausam Subba, Kiran Limboo, and Pem Tuk Lepcha. Their contribution reflects the growing importance of skill-based education and local talent in regional development.
