Gangtok:8th Dec:Parengtar Youth dedicating to preserving the Agricultural Culture and traditions is a rare example .Roshan Rai, Parengtar Naulo Umanga Welfare Society , Muhaan, Design associate Upendra Gurung from Gangtok are all set to hold 5th Khole Dai( the paddy threshing and piling process in a space) festival. The fest starting from 19th will go on till 21st Dec 2025.
First day will be marked by all about paddy threshing in an age old way.Subsequent attractions include folk music,workshops regarding arts and crafts.
The organisers informed that it will be all zero waste programme as the venue is an agricultural field and they will leave it as clean as ever.
Younger generation is being inspired to showcase their talents and at the same time learn about the part of culture they have been missing.
Earlier,the organisers offered ‘khole’ to everyone to taste.
Everyone is invited to the vibrant village and enter with tickets available,on the spot also.
