Gangtok, 28th Nov: The Capital saw Protests outside the Sikkim Public Service Commission Gates,today.SDF politicians,including Komal Chamling Incharge Chelli Morcha( women wing) Kharel and Shakun Gurung with Judy Rai were the prominent and well known faces.The Protest against recent SPSC Sub – Inspector post’s exams and results drew crowd of concerned people along with SDF SDF followers .The gates already locked for security reasons ? were opened for 5 persons only
Komal Chamling, said they were getting complaints as well as reports saying the Results in question were not impartially declared. And they having met the Controller of Examination discussed and complained. It has been assured that they will look 8 to it and make it known Actually wanted to meet Chairman who was not available.
The Citizen Action party spokesperson, interacting with media at their party office ,alleged nepotism and talked about the manipulation.
Albert Gurung ,Spokesperson ,disclosing the ranks secured by 1 to 18 alleged them all to be either having some connections with CM or those serving him as caretaker, Cook, related to PA and even went as far as saying that one of them can’t write his name also correctly, other one failed in 10 class subsequently in 12 ( as informed by his teachers. However those who worked hard ( supposed to have done better) can’t all speak out due to terror of victimization of family members They have reported to CAP that no UID numbers were given on their answer scripts to hide their identity for impartial evaluation and transparency.
They have demanded publishing the marksheet of selected few,for public to see.
If nothing happens they will take next step.
‘BJP Sikkim has filed an RTI over the controversial Sub-Inspector recruitment list of 39 candidates recently declared by Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC). Serious questions have been raised on the selection process and passing of certain candidates.
BJP Sikkim stands firmly with the youth of our state. We have demanded complete transparency from SPSC,’according to their publicity wing .
