Gangtok:27th Nov :CAP–Sikkim Demands Immediate Action in view of the alleged unacceptable recruitment system ,adopted while preparing results for the post(s) of Sub – Inspector.
In light of the serious allegations and widespread public distress, the Citizen Action Party – Sikkim has demanded-
‘An immediate, detailed, and transparent explanation from the Sikkim Public Service Commission regarding the criteria, evaluation process, and selection pattern.
– A thorough independent review or re-evaluation of the recruitment, given the scale of allegations.
– Strict safeguarding of constitutional values in all future examinations conducted by the SPSC.
– Accountability of officials and individuals responsible for compromising the sanctity of the recruitment system.’
Restoring Faith in Institutions is Now a Constitutional Duty: Repeated instances of nepotism and favouritism in Sikkim have severely damaged the youth’s trust in government recruitment. Today’s incident, especially on Constitution Day, has deepened that wound and raised serious questions about the credibility of the SPSC, a body constitutionally mandated to remain impartial and independent.
Message to Aspirants : The Citizen Action Party – Sikkim stands firmly with every aspirant who is fighting for fairness, justice, and equal opportunity.
‘We strongly appeal to all candidates: do not take any extreme or self-harming steps. Your concerns are justified, and we will take all necessary legal, democratic, and institutional measures to ensure accountability and restore integrity to Sikkim’s recruitment processes.’
Today, CAP–Sikkim reaffirms its commitment to uphold the very ideals our Constitution stands for justice, equality, and transparency, according to Albert Gurung Spokesperson Citizen Action Party – Sikkim.
