Gangtok:5th September: State Spokesperson ,BJP Sikkim,Passang Gyali Sherpa,has submitted his resignation from the post.He mentions reported contradictory signals from the State leadership as the reason behind the step taken by him.
Passang in his letter in question says,’ I have resigned as State Spokesperson, BJP Sikkim. Persistent indecisiveness of the state leadership and contradictory signals have weakened our credibility, confused karyakartas, and misled the public. Without clarity on whether BJP Sikkim is in alliance or opposition, the spokesperson’s role has become untenable. I appeal to the central leadership to urgently intervene for the sake of the party and the people of Sikkim.”
Though ,Sherpa retains his membership,it is yet to be known ,if party has accepted his resignation submitted to State President,with a copy to North East Incharge Sambit Patra and National General Secretary,BL Santosh.NN
