Gangtok Head Post Office: Protest wearing Black Cards against IT2.0
Gangtok:14th August :All the employees here in Head Post Office ,today had Black Cards pinned to their shirts to protest.And they sat on their windows working ,while others preparing for Independence Day . It was to oppose Wrong Implementation of IT 2.0. B/ It has been said that protest was also against APT 2.0 roll out and the reported chaos thereof C/ ground level failure due to the above reasons.D/ non availability of Thermal printer and one more.
The protest has been called by Bhartiya Postal Employees Federation and BGDKS.
Other major reasons behind the protest included ,’No NSP -2 in most of the offices,Data fetching facing failure(3 days).Logging OTP not received,Foreign article booking OTP failures,No SOP for off -cycle payments/server load miscalculated during peak hours.
According to the Federation’s call ,Roll out without phased planning or purpose not appreciated and no proper training for 2 weeks has been given,’
On the whole hurried implementation of programmes to modernise have been causing difficulties. .
