Gangtok,31st July:Countdown to Chess Championship at Sir Tashi Namgyal Senior Secondary School,here giving a wonderful opportunity to Chess players and fans ,starts.
Joint Secretary to Sikkim Chess Association Mahendra Dhakal,has disclosed, ‘ The Inter -School Chess Championship is going to start from 7th August 2025.It will continue upto 9th August,at TNSS School,here.’
According to Dhakal, ISCC ,will have different Male and Female categories,including age level : under -7,U-9,U-11 and U- 13.The participants of U -7& 9 will play together,due to small age level.Other categories ‘.
Further Joint Secretary Dhakal,said that registration ends on 5th Agust.’ We are expecting 300-400 participants .We have been hoping for 85 Schools from across Sikkim to participate in last time we had 40.’
The good players/ participants would be sent to participate in the Nationals.
Chess Association has decided on attractive prizes ,trophies for the winners worth 58 Thousand total.So come and try your luck!
