- Sarathi Idol ’25: Abin Rai bags 1st Prize
Gangtok,20th July:The 1st ever Sikkim Sarathi Idol,hosted by Central Joint Action Committee Local Taxi,Gangtok,had Grand finale held here today,in the presence of CM PS Tamang & Mrs Krishna Rai .Prominent among others present included Deputy Speaker R.Kumari Thapa,Minister Sonam Lama, Minister Arun Upreti Minister Puran Gurung ,Minister Raju Basnet,MLAs Erung Lepcha,Delay Namgyal and Jacob Khaling Political Secretary to CM.
CM gave away First prize to Abin Rai ,a trophy,Citation and Rs 5 Lakh,2nd prize of Rs 3 Lakh was bagged by Anand Gurung,he was given a citation trophy by Mrs Krishna Rai ( Wife of CM),3rd prize was secured by Passing Dawa Tamang consisting of Rs 1 Lakh ,citation and trophy.Tedt of the 4 were presented consolation prizes.

The contest had 2 rounds Nepali songs and tribute round consisting of songs of late Kishore Kumar,RD Barman and Muhammad Rafi iconic singers of Bollywood.
The CM joined by Ministers felicitated the OSD Skill Dev.Deptt, Bimal Neopaney, 3 judges who presented lovely songs,Fauda Singh Gurung who sang in m/ f both the voices and a music band .
