NESAP hosts GS Lama Commemoration – Remembrance programme
Gangtok on 16th July: Nepali Sahitya Parishad organised a Condolence Meet to pay homage to Litterateur GS Lama( 1939- 2025).Most of the Literary figures participated actively in the meeting.Two minutes silence was observed to pray for the peace of the departed souls of the eminent author cum lyricist also a retired bureaucrat.
President NESAP,Hari Dhungel offered khada as a mark of respect at the portrait of late GS Lama.Many literary identities shared their opinion about GS Lama Litterateur.
Girmey Goparma,tracing the history of literature (Nepali language),mentioned Apatan Literature. In while the gap after it was filled up by Tulsi Ram Kashyap and Nar Bahadur Bhandari.Subsequently GS Lama took the lead.’
Goparma ,added. ,’ One should never forget own roots and history .GS Lama has contributed a lot to the literature here.’He said it should be seen if our literature has been progressing or not!
Prominent among others who shared their views included Prof RP Paudyal,DR Nepal,Former MLA DB Thatal.Meena Subba,Bhakti C.and Deepa Rai.
