Gangtok,16 th July : Chief Minister PS Tamang attended the World Youth Skills Day 2025 celebrations on Tuesday ,at Chintan Bhawan, marking global commitment to youth empowerment through skills.
CM said , ‘This year’s theme, “Empowering Youth through Artificial Intelligence and Digital Skills”, reminds us of the urgent need to align our skill development efforts with fast-changing technologies.’
CM. talked of the Skill Development Department ,which has establiished many institutions to empower youth.
CM made announcements:
• Mandatory ITI certification for technical posts in government departments,
• 5–10% seat reservations in Polytechnic Colleges for ITI graduates.CM Tamang has appealed all to work together – youth, institutions, and government to build a Skilled, Resilient, and Empowered Sikkim.
