- Gangtok,12th July : Nepali Sahitya Parishad has announced postponement of Bhanu Award from 13th July ,Bhanu Jayanti to August.It has been decided today not to have Cultural programme,on the day,in the honour of PadamSri Sanu Lama,who left for heavenly abode today morning.However, Garlanding of the poet’s statue will take place,at Bhanu Udyan.
Padamsri Sanu Lama,retired Technocrat and Litterateur will always be there through his books,lyrics and poetry.
President Nepali Sahitya Parishad ,Hari Dhungel, said ‘ PadamSri Sanu Lama,was one of the founders of NESAP,a National Awardee and a Litterateur of National level.So we have cancelled the Celebration part on 13th July.Only floral homage will be paid to Acharya Bhanu Bhakta on his Birth Anniversary.Rest will be done sometimes in August ’25.’
The NESAP paid silent tribute for 2 minutes to the departed soul of the eminent writer Lama.His funeral is likely to take place on Friday,after the arrival of his daughter from Switzerland,according to sources close to the bereaved family
