Gangtok,9th July: Ven.Sonam Lama,Minister,Ecclesiastical Affairs and PWD,called on Union Ministers in the National Capital Delhi in on his way back from Dharamshala.l
Minister Lama ,discussed religious,cultural and developmental issues of the State with Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs in Kiren Rijiju.He laid emphasis on protection of traditional institutions.( Sikkim boasts of continuation of many traditional institutions,major ones being Ecclesiastical Govt Deptt and Pipon led Dzumsa in place of Panchayat in a part of North Sikkim).
Minister Lama also met Minister DoNER Jyotiraje Scindia .They discussed improving communication system.
Next to it Lama met Union Minister for Jal Shakti Missio CR Patil and discussed the Water & PHE.
