Gangtok,20th June: First batch of Pilgrims to Kailash Mansarover,have been flagged off by Governor of Sikkim OP Mathur,today.The batch of 2025 KM Y has 36 persons including 2 officers.
The flag off ceremony used to be held at the Palace Road earlier,was held right at the border.Present among others were Ministers,MLAs,Army and ITBP officers.
The pilgrims were received by Chinese officers on the other side of border.The pilgrims having been acclimatized have crossed into Tibetan Autonomous Region now on their way to Kangma.
The KMY has resumed now after it was stopped temporarily due to Galwan War.This year total 500 pilgrims would be going in 10 batches.
