The Sikkim Hotel & Restaurant appeals for postponing Road Repairs between Sevoke and Rangpo after tourist season or during Night time .
The executive members of SHRA met District Collector East and submitted a memorandum for postponing proposed road repairs between Sevoke and Rangpo during Peak Tourist Season.
They also highlighted about the losses the Tourism Industry will be facing due to cancellations.
They also stated that although SHRA appreciate NHIDCL doing repair works of NH 10 but it should have been done prior to tourist season and not during Peak tourist season.
The District Collector Esat assured speaking to Kalimpong DC and GM NHIDCL on this matter. The association will also be meeting Governor of Sikim & Chief Secretary of Sikkim for further action in coming days in interest of stakeholders of Tourism Industry.
