Gangtok: 8th Nov: Minister of Defence, Government of India, Mr Rajnath Singh visited Sherethang, in the biting cold,while visiting the region,today.
The Defence Minister was received by District Collector, Gangtok, Rohan Agawane; Senior Superintendent of Police for Gangtok Dr Tsering Namgyal Gyatso and Joint Secretary Home Department, John Gurung along with Senior Army Officers.
Minister Rajnath Singh paid homage at the Sherethang War Memorial, honouring the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation and paid tribute to their courage and valour in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Defence Minister interacted with Indian Army and appreciated their dedication and service in protecting the nation’s borders under challenging conditions.
Minister ,Rajnath Singh visited Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir and paid respects .
