Siliguri:3rd Nov:MP Darjeeling Raju Bista accompanied,Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari at the “Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao” public rally and meeting in Siliguri.
‘West Bengal has witnessed nearly five decades of economic degradation and neglect under CPIM and TMC malgovernance. Democracy was thwarted, public resources were looted, people were subjugated to harassment, tolabazi and cut-money system,’MP Bista observed.
MP added further comparing WB then and now, ‘In contrast, under the leadership of Prime Minister ,Narendra Modi , India is witnessing transformative development, and Bengal is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.’
MP highlighting the aims and objectives of Rally, said ,’The importance of a transparent and accurate electoral roll through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) cannot be overstated. Ensuring that every eligible Indian citizen’s voting rights are protected, and illegal immigrants are prevented from voting in our nation is the fundamental duty of the election commission, and they are doing their duty very well.
Those who indulged in “vote chori – electoral theft” during their days in power know that with clean electoral roll, they will never be able to win elections again. Hence their desperation to undermine democracy in our nation. Today’s rally is a warning to those who are seeking to destroy our democratic institutions, they must realize that their lies, fake narratives and propaganda has already failed. The people of India have seen through these attempts and will continue to defend democracy, constitutional institutions and the sanctity of our mandate’.
