- 7th Sarathi Samman Diwas: CM felicitated
Gangtok,27th July: Chief Minister PS Tamang,the Chief Guest at the 7th Sarathi Samman Diwas programme,at Manan Kendra was felicitated by 3 organisations.Transport Deptt,Sarathi Welfare Board and State Chalak Wing,expressed gratitude towards him for Sarathi ( Drivers) friendly steps and policies.
CM set open his gift box redressing all the grievances brought to his notice by Chalaks on including reduction in the fines imposed via AI traffick management system.
Chief Minister,PS Tamang& Mrs Krishna ( his wife), joined by Speaker,MN Sherpa,Minister Sonam Lama ,Minister Arun Upreti,felicitated the Best performing drivers of SNT Trucks and Tata.Best Conductors and Drivers were also felicitated ,Rs 5 Lakh ex-gratia to victims of accident .Son of Driver pursuing MBBS was felicitated and finally the daughter of a driver was felicitated for completing PhD.NN.
