Water Meters to be Installed for Scientific Billing
Gangtok,14th Dec: Public Health and Engineering Deptt,in order to provide drinking water to every citizen and ensure scientific billing got a Govt legislation unanimously passed in the assembly session.
According to the authorities ‘It also expected to discourage misuse of public assets and penalise when required. ‘
Observers feel it is a good step only if water supply could be regulated as it
is already beyond carrying capacity of the town.
