Gangtok18th Jan: ‘Dragon Run is being organised by 3rd IRBn, at Temi , on 22nd February ’26. It is one of the pre events for our Raising Day ,to be observed in the last week of Feb.It will be organised in partnership with Discover Temi Group, Lions Club, Sikkim Manipal University , Deptt of Sports & Youth Affairs, with the Brand Ambassador of the event Marathon Man of Sikkim , Amar Subba. The Dragon Run will give a Sporting experience and fitness. Responsibilities for the event have been allotted, ‘ announced Commandant here today.
Pro VC SMU, Dr Murlidhar V. Pai , said ‘ we will take care of all the medical emergencies and First aid. ‘ He was joined by Dy Medical Supt.Manipal concerned authorities will provide well equipped ambulance, with Doctors and nurses .
Lion Clubs lady representative ,A Sarda informed ,that the Club will take care to avoid use of plastic and generate awareness among participants about keeping/ leaving the place clean and green.
She said further that at the behest of CM PS Tamang,’Walk & Talk ‘ would be hosted as a charity event.He has declared prizes also for it.’
Prizes for W&T include 20 Thousand for the winner,15 Th for 2nd and 10Th for the 3rd.
The event has lucrative prizes for other events said Shanti Rai,those include Rs 25 Thousand for winner of 5 kms,for 2nd 20 Th and 3rd 15Th.Consolation prizes for top Ten . For 10 kms open M/F ,1st will get Rs 50Th 2nd 40Th and 3rd 30 Th.There are 3 age categories 35 to 45,46 to 55 and 55 +..Other prizes include Rs 20 Th,15 Th and 10Th respectively.
