Sikkim SL & IBP association sending 16 athletes to Ranchi for 4th EI Championship
Gangtok:6th April:’ Sikkim Strength Lifting Association is going to participate in the 4th East India Strength Lifting & Inclined Bench Press Championship 26 in Ranchi, ‘ announced President Sikkim Strength Lifting Association, Anil Raj Rai IAS here today. He was addressing media at a local hotel accompanied by his executive members. Rai,said presently the atmosphere for sports associations is conducive.And pur effort is to protect our youngsters from bad habits.He
advised the participants preparing to compete at Ranchi to ‘ compete fairly, with absolute No Doping’. We expect Zero Tolerance to Doping. Last time our members were appreciated for disciplin – there were no complaints against them.. And they should remain so, as there are going to represent the State and always keep that in mind. ‘
Working President Allen Targain said ‘ 16 athletes are going to Ranchi led by Chief Coach um Technical Director Pema Doejee Bhutia.Out of these there are 7 girls and 9 boys.There are a number of gyms included in the group.’
Chief Coach Pema Dorjee Bhutia, said ,he will be accompanied by Lakpa Sherpa as the Team Manager. 14 States will be participating in rhe Championship . Martam Ranipiool, Jorethang gyms from Sikkim have joined the team. We have atheletes from all age levels. ‘
Pema asled all of the players to carry their documents and light luggage .He advised them to remain disciplined ad ever.Amd keep the image of Sikkim high.
